From February 26th to March 3rd 2023, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar, together with the German Water Partnership e.V., is implementing a market exploration programme in Cambodia on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The project is supported by the Cambodian Water Supply Association (CWA) in Phnom Penh. The Foreign Market Entry Programme is intended to assist German companies from the water and wastewater management sector to expand their businesses and to enable them to enter new markets. The delegation aims to explore business opportunities in Cambodia, establish contacts with relevant stakeholders and build networks with local entrepreneurs for future cooperation.
During the delegation trip, German companies have the chance to establish contacts with authorities, public institutions and companies and visit technical sites and water projects in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. In seminars and workshops and during visits to companies and authorities, the German participants are provided with a wide range of first-hand information about the target country. The delegates can expand their knowledge regarding political and legal framework conditions, concrete market opportunities, future market developments, technical and logistical requirements and processes, and culture-specific aspects. Local sector experts and government representatives will provide information. Networking events with entrepreneurs, stakeholders and multipliers will provide useful platforms for the Cambodian and German guests to establish individual contacts, exchange business and cooperation ideas and plant the first seeds for future bilateral business activities
