Purchasing Initiative Southeast Asia

An opportunity to find new suppliers and sourcing partners in Southeast Asia.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy (BMWi), the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) and its partners in the region organize the 1st BMWI/BME Purchasing Initiative Southeast Asia. The project is conducted jointly with the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar as well as the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Munich and Upper Bavaria (IHK).

The core of the event is the reverse sourcing concept (B2B matchmaking), where German buyers meet selected suppliers from the region. The focus is on the product groups of metal construction, castings and forgings as well as other direct material groups.

Pre‐qualified B2B‐Meetings

The BME and its partners will invite selected suppliers from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to participate in Vietnam or Online, and provide German buyers with an individual B2B meeting package.

Demand-orientated sourcing selection

After completing the supplier search, the German buyers will receive an individualized combined supplier list. The buyers then will evaluate the suppliers, according to whom meet their needs. The suppliers that received the best evaluations will be invited to participate at the conference.

This is an opportunity for German buyers to have professional B2B meetings with potential suppliers out of the following commodities: Metal construction, cast and forged parts, stamped and bent parts, injection molding, plastic and electronic components, welded assemblies, assembly, production materials and drawing parts.
