Business Opportunity for Packaging Producers – Meet the Challenge!

The Waste Summit Cambodia 2021 was hold virtually through a series of webinar conferences under the theme of “The Innovative Role of Technologies in Waste Management as a way forward for Sustainable Development” from 2 to 4 September 2021. The summit was organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Cambodia and GIZ. With this summit, the organizers aimed to create a sustainable dialogue and to create a platform to enable future partnerships between problem-solvers, investors, start-ups, and other relevant actors. Therefore, the summit immersed in new business ideas and showcased tech entrepreneurial and social approaches to innovate Cambodian waste management systems.

Delegation organized and moderated a slot on sustainable packaging solutions in Cambodia on Friday, 3 September 2021. The speakers gave insights about the impact of plastic packaging waste pollution in Cambodia and the urgent need to find alternatives. The panel focused on sustainable packaging solutions in the food and beverage sector. They presented available alternatives and implicated approaches and best practices. The slot was very well attended and created a lively exchange between the speakers and the summit participants.
